Less than 15 miles from New York City, Wayne Township in Passaic County, New Jersey offers a nostalgic and historic feel for all those who get thepleasure of either living or visiting this quaint town. Wayne is hometo the Willowbrook Mall, the Wayne Hills Mall, the Wayne Towne Center,and also High Mountain Park Reserve. There is also 5 major lakes in Wayne as well as the Passaic River. TheHigh Mountain Park Reserve is a protected area of the Preakness Rangeof the Watchung Mountains. This area is comprised of 1,153 acres ofwoodlands and wetlands. Wayne also radiates its revolutionary past andunforgettable historic homes, including, the Schuyler-ColfaxHouse, the Dey Mansion, the Van Riper-Hopper House, the Mead-Van DuyneHouse, the Van Saun House and the Ryerson House. DeyMansion is a colonial house where General George Washington tookresidence during the Revolutionary War. Wayne is home to over 54,000;and is laid out over 24 square miles of land.

The township of Wayne, New Jersey is a lovely suburban community with plenty of attractions all its own. According to New Jersey Magazine, Wayne is consistently ranked in the top 75 school districts in the state.  In total, Wayne has 14 public school, Passaic County Technical Institute, William Paterson University, 4 Catholic schools and numerous other private elementary and high schools. The elementary schools in this town are : A.P. Terhune, James Fallon, John F. Kennedy, Lafayette, Packanack, Pines Lake, Randall Center, Ryerson, and Theunis De y. The middle schools in Wayne include George Washington Middle School, Anthony Wayne Middle School, and Schuyler-Colfax MIddle School. Wayne Hills High School serves students north of Ratzer Road and Wayne Valley High School educates students south of Ratzer Road.

Interstate 80, Route 46, Route 202 and Route 23 all run through Wayne making commuting in and out of this town a breeze. New Jersey Transit through Wayne serves commuters with service to either the Hoboken Terminal or on the Midtown Direct trains to Penn Station in Midtown Manhattan. The New Jersey Transit buses serve Wayne residents on numerous lines. Newark Liberty International Airport is 26 miles from this town and LaGuardia is 30 miles away
